Custom Handmade watch Mental Health Awareness. Wearable art with a message

This custom watch was created with a deeply personal purpose. Having a child with autism has made me especially aware of how important mental health is for individuals and families alike. I designed this piece to help encourage open conversations about autism and mental health awareness.
The dial features a striking heart illustration intersected by a razor blade — a symbolic image representing emotional pain, resilience, and the importance of compassion and understanding. The artwork is an original public domain image from the Library of Congress, thoughtfully reimagined as wearable art with a message.
Each watch is made by hand, one at a time, when ordered. I begin with a genuine Seiko VH31 quartz movement, along with quality hands and a watch case. I then design and create the custom dial before carefully assembling the watch. It’s finished with a classic black leather strap, giving it a timeless look that keeps the focus on the meaningful design.
My hope is that this watch does more than tell time — that it helps start important conversations about autism, emotional well-being, and the value of mental health support for everyone.
Because every piece is handmade, slight variations may occur, making each watch unique. I may also substitute the watch hands with a similar style depending on availability, while always preserving the overall aesthetic.
